Stamps

Leather stamps let you add texture, pattern and personal detail to a project by hand, from simple geometric designs to decorative borders. A mallet and a stable work surface are all you need alongside the stamp itself.

Getting a clean stamp impression

Leather stamping works best on vegetable-tanned leather that's been lightly dampened, called casing, which lets the fibres compress cleanly under the stamp. Strike firmly and evenly with a mallet for a crisp, consistent impression.
